Used 3 colors + white to concentrate on values and not worry too much about mixing paint.
Right now when I'm painting I'm trying to get the shapes and the values down.
I use a simple pochade box with one brush for each color. (No time to rinse between colors with these short poses.) I also use a stay wet palette, that is lined with a wet paper towel covered with tracing paper. (You have to smooth out the wrinkles because both of those stretch when wet.) I add floetrol from home depot to my old utrecht acrylics and keep a water spray bottle handy. In between painting sessions I store the palette in the fridge. If too many weeks go by before I can get back to the acrylics and they skin over. It's easy to take out the paper towel + tracing paper and throw them away.
