Foxglove Abstract with Stabilo Woody Color pencils abt 8x10"

This was inspired by about.com's monthly painting project http://painting.about.com/u/sty/submissiongallery/painting-project-abstracted-flowers/and the desire to experiment with my new woody colored pencils.

Some Pastel sketches

Well this was the last night of indoor winter sketching of models. I really like the poses that the models did this year. I found myself fascinated with the way that the shadows fell over the body. Did the sketches on large sheets of newsprint with pastel. It's amazing how much info you can get down in 5 minutes. The 30 minute pose was done using brown, orange, yellow, white and black pastel on pastel paper.
